Happy Birthday Emma!

Dear Emma,

Happy Birthday! I can't believe that you are 26 years old. What a fun, sophisticated, sexy age to be. You are starting this next year of your life abroad. How cool is that? You'll be able to tell people that you turned 26 in Dubai while earning your law degree. It is impossible to be cooler than you.

I have known Emma since 2018. Let me tell you about her.

Emma has always been smart. This is apparent after spending a mere ten minutes with her. She speaks well, she is educated, and she processes information efficiently. This girl reads serious books for fun and knows everything about pop culture. She loves new places and learning about the world she lives in. She continues to spend significant time abroad. She speaks Russian, and even dabbles in Arabic. Emma cares about other people and their life experiences.

Emma has range. I can't think of a single place where I would be surprised to see her. Concerts, camping, New York, Dubai, the rodeo, Italy, Germany, the mall, France, an ice cream shop, fishing off a pier, Egypt, Jordan, Chicago, a baseball game, a night out, a night in, Spain, Cuba, a tarot reading, etc. Emma will be there, and she will be fun. If you ask nicely, she will do the worm.

As I mentioned at the beginning, she is literally living in Dubai. She drove a tour bus in Alaska. She lived in Australia for a summer. She is adventurous, outdoorsy, fashionable, and she can drive a humongous bus. This girl can do anything. We love a girl with side quests.

One of the best things about Emma is that she is not the kind of girl to solve someone's problem for them; she offers support. She is consistent. She will check in with you. Emma is one of those people who cares just as much about her friends' goals as she does her own.

Another thing I love about Emma is her dedication to becoming a kinder and more compassionate person. I am not religious, but Emma is one of the best Christians I know. She focuses on including Jesus in her daily life. She lives a life of love, service, and inclusion. She is always looking to make improvements and adjustments. She reflects on her life and course corrects when necessary. Emma is a wonderful human being.

I am so lucky to know you, Emma. 26 is going to be an incredible year!
